Say what you want about Darryl B. , his intentions to crawl into the music industry are clear. This is Darryl B.'s first album to be written and mastered on his own. The self-titled album "Darryl B.", is a melancholy debut. This album brings you heartfelt ballads submerged with upbeat ear candy. The album will often confuse you emotionally, where vocals become strong, then weak, or songs become slow, then become rapid. His uniquely styled voice comes out in songs like "Don't Walk Away", "Rehab", or even "Optical Illusion". It puts you in a easing state of emotions. Darryl B. admits to the intermediate flaws of a teenager attempting to fit into society, and takes dealing with life's hard circumstances very hardly. In his debut album, Darryl spends too much time on minor frequent love circumstances , but doesn't focus effectively enough on becoming indulged in the life events of a young man. With exception to the song "Private Life", which details a more edgy, risque man with a secret. An impressive debut at most, and certainly an album with much potential.
